Retro Brazil Jerseys: The Classic Kits and How to Choose One
The yellow shirt with green trim is one of the most recognisable in football, and many of the best-known retro Brazil shirts come from three World Cups: 1994, when Brazil won in the United States; 1998, when they reached the final in France; and 2002, when they won again in South Korea and Japan. We stock retro designs from all three, plus the 2004, 2010 and 2012/13 shirts.
Retro shirts on FashionOwn are new shirts made in past designs, not vintage or match-worn originals. Here's what each one looks like, going by our own product photos, and how to choose between them.

-

How to choose one
- For a World Cup win: the 1994 or 2002 shirt.
- For something less common: the blue 1998 or 2010 away shirts stand out in a sea of yellow.
- For cooler weather: the 1998 long-sleeve home or away.
- For everyday wear: the plainer 2004 and 2012/13 designs are the easiest to style.
Yellow or blue?
Brazil's home shirt is yellow with green, and the away shirt is traditionally blue. The yellow is the one everyone recognises. The blue shirts are just as much part of the story and look less like every other shirt in a crowd, which makes one a good second shirt if you already own the yellow.
Sizing a retro Brazil shirt
Fits can differ from modern shirts, so check the measurements on each product page before you order: measure a shirt you like flat across the chest and compare. If you're between sizes, or you want room for a layer under a long-sleeve, go up one. Measurements can vary by 1–2cm between batches. Our guide to whether soccer jerseys run small has the full charts.
Names and numbers
On products that offer it, you can add a name of up to 12 characters and a number of up to two digits, with a preview before it goes in your cart. Printing is currently free, and personalised shirts can't be returned. For what each classic number traditionally means, see our guide to soccer jersey numbers.
Looking after it
Wash it inside out on a cold (30°C) gentle cycle with no bleach or fabric softener, hang it to dry and keep the iron off any print or badge. Our washing guide has the full routine.
Delivery and returns
Orders are processed within 1–3 business days, most arrive within 7–14 business days, and shipping is free on all US orders. Unused, unworn shirts in their original condition and packaging can be returned within 30 days of delivery under our Refund Policy.
