Retro Argentina Jerseys: 1986, 1998, 2006 and More
The most famous retro Argentina shirt is the 1986 home jersey, sky blue and white stripes from the World Cup Argentina won in Mexico. We also stock retro designs from 1996/97, the 1998, 2006, 2010, 2014 and 2018 World Cups, including the dark blue away shirts from 1998, 2006 and 2014.
Retro shirts on FashionOwn are new shirts made in past designs, not vintage or match-worn originals. Here's what each one looks like, going by our own product photos, and what happened in the tournament it comes from.

How to choose one
- For a World Cup win: the 1986 shirt.
- For something less common: one of the dark blue away shirts from 1998, 2006 or 2014.
- For a cooler day: the 2006 away also comes as a long-sleeve shirt.
- For a slimmer fit: the 2006 away and 2014 designs are available as Player Edition shirts too.

Stripes or dark blue?
The sky blue and white stripes are Argentina's home colours, and they're the shirt everyone pictures. The away shirts are traditionally dark blue. If you already own a striped shirt, a dark blue away is a good second: it's just as recognisable to anyone who follows the team and it stands out in a crowd of stripes.
Sizing a retro Argentina shirt
Cuts change between eras, so check the measurements on each product page. Measure a shirt you like flat across the chest and compare. If you're between sizes, go up one. Measurements can vary by 1–2cm between batches. Our guide to whether soccer jerseys run small has the full charts.
Names and numbers
On products that offer it, you can add a name of up to 12 characters and a number of up to two digits, with a preview before it goes in your cart. Printing is currently free, and personalised shirts can't be returned. The number 10 is the obvious choice on an Argentina shirt; our guide to soccer jersey numbers explains what the others traditionally mean.
Looking after it
Wash it inside out on a cold (30°C) gentle cycle with no bleach or fabric softener, hang it to dry and keep the iron off any print or badge. Our washing guide has the full routine.
Delivery and returns
Orders are processed within 1–3 business days, most arrive within 7–14 business days, and shipping is free on all US orders. Unused, unworn shirts in their original condition and packaging can be returned within 30 days of delivery under our Refund Policy.
